Why Choose Our Flight Simulation Training
At Costanzo Air Flight School, we are proud to offer our community a range of comprehensive flight training programs so our students can achieve their aviation dreams. From youth programs to private pilot licensing programs, we do it all. In order to enrich the learning experience, we use advanced simulator flight training that will replicate the sensation of flight in a safe environment.
Our Redbird FMX simulator is a full-motion simulator, which means it provides a realistic flying experience that closely replicates the feel of an actual aircraft. It is equipped with a variety of advanced features, such as a wrap-around visual system and advanced avionics, which will enhance your training experience. Simulator training has become an essential part of pilot training, and for good reason. Our flight simulator is an FAA approved AATD, meaning you can log up to 2.5 hours towards your Private Pilot License and up to 20 for your Instrument Rating.
Here are some of the benefits of simulator training:
Safe and Controlled Learning Environment
Simulators provide a safe and controlled learning environment, where students can practice maneuvers and procedures without the risks associated with real-world flying. In a simulator, you can make mistakes without consequences, which allows you to learn from those mistakes and improve your skills.
Simulator training is a cost-effective alternative to actual flight time. Instead of paying for fuel, maintenance, and other expenses associated with real-world flying, you can practice on a simulator for a fraction of the cost.
Realistic Scenarios and Situations
Simulators have the capability to recreate various scenarios and circumstances, including engine malfunctions, emergency procedures, weather changes, and air traffic control communications. Through simulated training, you can safely and precisely prepare for these situations, increasing your self-assurance and decision-making abilities.
Improved Proficiency and Skill
Simulator training allows you to practice specific maneuvers and procedures repeatedly until you feel confident in your abilities. This repetition improves your muscle memory, which will transfer to your real-world flying. Additionally, simulator training can help you develop new skills and techniques that you may not have had the opportunity to practice in real-world flying.
Flexibility and Availability
Simulators are available 24/7, regardless of weather conditions or time of day. This allows you to practice when it's most convenient for you, which can help you progress through your training more quickly.
